Song in twelve stanzas; first line: It was on the seventeenth by break of day, the Yankees did surprise us. Imprint supplied by Evans. Relief cut of a battle at head of title; printed area measures 32.5 x 13.1 cm. One of two editions, very similar in appearance. In the present edition (Evans 14465), there is no comma after the word "Song" in the title, and the fourth line of the sixth stanza begins: O'er hills & dales & mountains high. Another edition (Bristol B4119; Shipton & Mooney 42939) has a comma after "Song" in the title, and the fourth line of the sixth stanza begins: O'er hills and dales & mountains high.
