Lewis] has been put in [V.M.I.]--Parke and children will arrive shortly--Charles and Lewis read to her--Brother Calvert gone to Capon Springs for health. Name on original manuscript appears as "E. P. L." Autograph letter initial signed, integral cover, postmarked "Berryville Va. Aug. 3," watermark.
