Scope and Contents
Two drafts of the same letter in writing of a secretary. Congratulates him on a his portrait of Washington being placed in the Senate Chamber in Jefferson City, Missouri. This inspired the Missouri legislature to make a donation to the Mount Vernon fund. Thanks him for his influence to help Mount Vernon. ER-11, p. 95. Undated 038.
