A.L.S. England. Had rug removed from Illinois Room. Mrs. Barry did nothing toward furnishing Illinois Room. Mrs. Leiter spent "several thousand dollars" on furnishings including engravings, rug, Lafayette chair, (globe and spinet were in room when she took it). Rare old cashmere rug cost $500.
